Privacy Policy

CursorCraft collects the minimum data needed to run a content website and serve advertising. This page explains exactly what that means.

Last updated: July 2, 2026. This policy applies to cursorcraft domain names operated by the CursorCraft editorial team.

What we collect directly

The CursorCraft website itself does not require accounts and does not run a first-party analytics pipeline. We do not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses, or any other personally identifiable information from regular site visits, except as noted below.

Cookies

The CursorCraft application sets one strictly-necessary cookie used to remember your preferred cursor size on the install help page (so you do not have to re-pick on every visit). It expires after one year and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.

Server logs

Like every web server, ours records the URL, HTTP status, response size, and timestamp for each request, along with the requester’s IP address and user-agent. These logs are retained for thirty days, then deleted. We use them only to diagnose outages and detect abuse (denial-of-service traffic, scraper bots, broken-link reports). Logs are not used for behavioral profiling and are not shared with third parties.

Advertising

CursorCraft displays advertising via Google AdSense in clearly labeled slots (header, in-content, sidebar, footer). Google may set cookies and use device identifiers to personalize ads under its own policies; you can opt out of personalized advertising via Google’s Ads Settings or your browser’s built-in controls. Google’s privacy policy applies to the data it collects through these slots and is the authoritative source for that processing.

Submissions

If you submit a cursor pack via the contact page, we receive your email address and any details you include. We use that information solely to evaluate the submission, reply to you, and (if listed) credit you on the pack page. We do not add submitters to a marketing list.

Third-party download mirrors

CursorCraft hosts pack downloads on the same origin as the listing whenever possible. If a pack must be served from a third-party mirror (typically the original author’s site), we link to it directly and the privacy policy of that mirror applies to the request.

Children

CursorCraft is appropriate for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The contact form is intended for adults; submissions from minors should include a parent or guardian on the email thread.

Changes

If we materially change this policy, the “Last updated” date at the top of the page will change and a banner will appear on the homepage for at least seven days. Material changes include adding new tracking, sharing data with new third parties, or expanding retention windows.
